10. Dustin's Pet Pollywog (Chapter 3)

At the end of the second episode, Dustin finds a bizarre alien creature, a Pollywog, hiding in his trash, having somehow escaped from the Upside Down.

Dustin promptly adopts the small creature as his own pet, naming him D'Artagnan (Dart for short), and in a fashion surely inspired by 80s classics E.T. and Gremlins, has to hide Dart from his mother while finding it especially fond of chocolate.

Dart becomes decidedly less cute once he escapes Dustin's grasp and begins growing in size, but those early "boy and his pet" moments are a lot of fun, and feature by far this season's best use of CGI.
