Stranger Things Season 2: 27 Biggest WTF Moments

4. The Exorcism Of William Byers

Stranger Things largely draws on and homages popular culture from the 1980s, however it goes almost full 70s horror at one point in the finale, aping The Exorcist while trying to get the monster out of Will's head.

Thankfully it works, but it's an intense, weird, and quite overtly horror scene that feels different to most of the other references the show makes.
