18. Eight

Eight, played by Linnea Berthelsen, is one of the more surprising (and likely divisive) additions to the cast for Season 2. She's not a main character as such, but is a hugely important one - and unfortunately, it doesn't quite work.

It makes sense that they'd try to show us another of the numbers from Hawkins Lab, and Berthelsen isn't particularly bad in the role, doing a good job of showcasing her powers and thirst for revenge against Dr Brenner and co.

However, the character feels completely at odds with the rest of the show, meaning the plot she's at the heart of ultimately falls flat, and making her character the worst of the bigger ones in Stranger Things 2.
