Stranger Things Season 3: What Does The Ending Really Mean?
5. Eleven Has Lost Her Powers
Eleven really took a beating this season, didn't she?
The teenage hero was attacked by the Mind Flayer on multiple occasions, attacked by Billy and was very nearly infected by the Upside Down. And as all of this hell was unleashed upon Hawkins, she pushed herself well past her limits in a bid to find, battle and terminate the threat one more time. Unfortunately for her, this physical and emotional stress caught up with her as, during the season finale, she found herself unable to use her psychokinetic abilities.
That's right, for the first time, she wasn't able to use her powers to save the day, and even though she was able to rely on both her instincts and her friends to get the job done , fans were undoubtedly left wondering what this means for the show going forward.
What's more interesting is that her abilities still hadn't returned to her following the three-month time jump in the episode's closing moments and, although Mike seemed hopeful that she would get them back, it will be intriguing to see if Season 4 shows us what Eleven's life will be like without powers.
