5. Thinking Outside The Box

In superhero shows, we often get used to impressive fight choreography or intricately-plotted game plans during the final act of each episode. However, the team behind Supergirl certainly deserve some credit for changing things up in this week's instalment, especially when it came to Brainiac-5.

When the 12th-level intellect found himself on the wrong end of an ambush by the Children of Liberty, he smooth-talked his way out of the scenario, telling them that he would beat them up with physics. The goading worked, allowing him to anticipate every move, dodge it and effectively let them knock each other out.

Playing out in slow-motion with operatic music in the background, this proved to be a hilarious, but beautiful scene that gave us something a little different from the average fight scene, while highlighting that Brainy is undoubtedly one of the richest characters on the show. Quite simply, it was a work of art.
