Supernatural: 10 Best Characters Who Only Appeared In One Episode
4. Muriel - Season 9, Episode 9
“Angelic” is an adjective that refers to someone who is exceptionally innocent and kind. That's why it’s often applied to well-behaved babies or extremely altruistic people. Angels are supposed to be the paragons of goodness.
But you wouldn’t know that from watching Supernatural. The angels in the world that show is set in are both bloodthirsty and utterly unrepentant, often embodying the worst traits of the humans they so despise. Muriel is one of only a handful that bucks the trend. She's an angel who cares instead of a haughty immortal, living up to the dictionary definition of the word “angelic.”
Appearing in the Season 9 episode Holy Terror, Muriel refuses to pick sides during a war between two factions of angels, choosing to hide instead. But a human pleads for help and Muriel can’t just resist. So she goes to help only to find that this “human” is Castiel.
Unbeknownst to Muriel, she was being tracked by Theo, a follower of the fallen angel Malachi. Muriel leads Theo to Castiel, where he tortures them both and kills poor Muriel with an angel blade.
