Supernatural Cast: Where Are They Now?

Who would have expected the Winchester brothers to be resurrected as a cop and a superhero?

Supernatural, the cash cow brainchild of Eric Kripke, began as a three-season show about a pair of demon-hunting brothers that followed a monster-of-the-week format. It wasn't long before the escapades of Sam and Dean Winchester were hitting well with the right demographics, including retaining a lot of Gilmore Girls fans who stayed to, no doubt, watch the show while they penned their own Wincest fanfiction.

Few involved in the show's beginning could have predicted that this little three-season show would eventually balloon into becoming the longest-running American live-action fantasy TV series, as well as spawn a few spin-offs including a webseries, an upcoming prequel show and an anime series (which is surprisingly decent).

With fifteen seasons under its belt, Supernatural had quite a run of mainline and side characters come and go. Now that the show has wrapped, coming to an end in November 2020, you might be wondering what the stars of the show have gone on to. So, let's take a look at what the series' cast is up to now that the show has ended.

10. Jared Padalecki

Starting out as the baby-faced younger brother of the Winchester duo, Jared Padalecki has portrayed Sam since the start. Ultimately Sam is the cause of, and solution to, the end of the world several times over in the series. And somewhere along the line he bulked into, as the demon lord Crowely regularly calls him, "Moose".

During his time on Supernatural he continued appearing on the show Gilmore Girls as recurring character, Dean Forrestor - which is kind of funny because his character's older brother in Supernatural is named Dean. He also appeared in a few films such as the 'film where Parris Hilton dies' House of Wax and the 2009 reboot of Friday the 13th.

Nowadays Padalecki has replaced Chuck Norris in the titular role of Walker, Texas Ranger, in the reboot titled, Walker. The show has pretty abysmal reviews, but some of the highest ratings on the CW so it's still hard to tell how long Padalecki will be in Cordell Walker's iconic boots and hat.
