Supernatural Cast: Where Are They Now?
4. Samantha Smith - Mary Winchester
Mary Winchester, played by Samantha Smith, has the honour of being Supernatural's most-recurring female character, appearing in a combined 37 episodes between the series' inception in 2005 until her final appearance in 2019's fourteenth season episode Absence.
Having been killed just six months following the birth of Sam, you instantly got the vibe that she'd do anything to protect her children, regardless of the lack of time they got to spend together. By her last appearance, Mary was finally at peace in heaven, her hunting days behind her. It was a fitting end for Mary, given the story that she crafted.
Since then, Smith has appeared in just two other roles. She played the role of Captain Pamela Shore in an episode of 9-1-1, and most recently starred in an episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, where she portrayed Eldredth.
Samantha Smith's role as Mary Winchester was undoubtedly the most notable of her entire acting career, having initially began her career in the mainstream as a model when she was only a teenager. It was a role in a Super Bowl commercial for HBO that initially put her face out there, leading to one-off appearances in hit shows like Seinfeld, Friends, and NCIS: Los Angeles.
