For around a decade, these shows were at the top of the CW, and till now carry an enormous fan base. Both shows feature their own version of supernatural lore and have diverse storylines. The main protagonists of the shows, Klaus Mikaelson and Dean Winchester, had quite different personalities. Klaus was a heartless, highly conniving and a cruel hybrid. His rage, ruthlessness and utter lack of mercy had turned him into the stuff of legends.
Dean was a confident, cool and extremely loyal hunter. However, Dean was ruthless and aggressive when he was hunting. A task which he approached enthusiastically, made him merciless.
