How I Met Your Mother aired its final episode over eight years ago. But with the recent release of spinoff How I Met Your Father, fans have found themselves drawn back to the original series, rewatching some of Ted and the gangs best moments.

The show was unique in that the entire story is a flashback of Ted telling a story to his two children, Luke and Penny, the story of how he met their mother. Clues in the title really!

On his journey to finding the mother, or "the one", Ted went on many dates. From crazy Jeanette to the lovely Victoria, it was always a guessing game as to who he was going to settle down with. It wasn't until the very last season however that we got to know the true identify of the woman with the yellow umbrella.

While many fans were disappointment and saddened by the mother's eventual fate, the journey was definitely worth watching.
