8. Melissa Ponzio
Alongside Linden Ashby's Sheriff Stilinski, Melissa Ponzio helped to ground Teen Wolf amidst the ongoing supernatural teen drama. She portrayed Scott's mother Melissa McCall throughout the entirety of Teen Wolf's six season run.
After discovering the existence of the supernatural world, Melissa became a key ally of Scott's pack, assisting them in anyway she could. Rather helpfully, Melissa worked at Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital and so whilst she lacked any super powers, she was incredibly good at covering up the show's endless unexplainable supernatural injuries - and their rapid healing.
Midway through her time on Teen Wolf, Melissa joined the cast of NBC's Chicago Fire as Donna Robbins-Boden and it's a role that she's continued to this day. The procedural is currently in its tenth season but has already been renewed for an eleventh. Melissa's character is married to one of the series' leads Chief Boden.
Recently, Melissa has re-branched out into the world of film and starred as Rachel Gonzales in the Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spender led superhero comedy Thunder Force which debuted on Netflix earlier this year. The movie wasn't very well received but it's nice to see Melissa getting some high profile roles.
