Terra Nova May Get Saving Grace At Netflix?

Fox canceled the prehistoric show on Monday which may find new home at Netflix.

Reports are starting to come in indicating that the recently canceled Fox sci-fi TV series, Terra Nova, may find a saving grace in Netflix. The rentals service are stepping up their efforts to continue expanding into original programing and the talk is that Terra Nova would be appealing to them. "While discussions are merely preliminary, the move could make sense for Netflix as it continues its push into original scripted programming with fare including 20th Television's Arrested Development, which the company resurrected in November," says The Live Feed. Now while I€™m sure this news will excite fans of the series, let me interject a note of caution. Terra Nova wasn€™t cheap for Fox to produce, and though the ratings for the series weren€™t great, they still weren€™t truly bad, and even then Fox decided not to continue production. Add to this the fact that Netflix€™s stock value has gone on the decline following some bad decisions that were made last year, and I just don€™t think that it€™s likely they would be willing to lay out the kind of cash this show would require. I would hope that fans of the show would understand that trying to do this program on the cheap would likely be worse than just leaving it to die quietly.
