4. Tyrion Finds Jaime And Cersei’s Bodies
Watching the first jolt of grief as Tyrion removes the first brick from Cersei’s face is absolutely flooring. We already know he’s about to be tortured by the discovery of the bodies, and yet he continues to remove the bricks one by one.
The decline from heavy breathing to hold back his tears to fully exposed pain at the death of his siblings is devastating, and as the audience mourns with him for two deeply morally flawed characters, the growing hatred of Daenerys following her actions in King’s Landing is brought out as Tyrion smashes bricks together and whimpers in pain at his loss.
Through such a stunning display of emotion from Peter Dinklage, the viewer feels the full weight of Daenerys’ actions. It wouldn’t be unlikely for Dinklage to win his final Emmy for his portrayal of this character for this scene alone.
