The 10 Worst The Big Bang Theory Episodes

2. The First Pitch Insufficiency (Season 8 Episode 3)

The big Bang Theory Sheldon
CBS

An argument erupts between Leonard, Penny, Sheldon and Amy as they decide which couple has the best relationship. Meanwhile, Howard is invited by NASA to throw out the first pitch in a baseball game, despite his total ineptitude to be able to throw a ball.

Why it sucks: We get it. Howard's a nerd and nerds can't play sports. Just another example of The Big Bang Theory writers taking a stereotype and blowing it up to make a whole episode out of it. Then, on the other hand, the more interesting story about the other four arguing who has the better relationship gets far less screen time for some reason. Howard is great, but if we've learned anything about his character it's that he doesn't have the depth to drive a main story line on his own.

What didn't suck: Howard using the Mars Rover to throw the pitch was a nice touch and the fact that the crowd booed it off the pitch was funny. I liked that Sheldon tried to mathematically prove that his relationship was better in a way that only he could.
