The Big Bang Theory: 10 Best Characters Who Appeared After Season 1
6. Stuart Bloom
The character who comes closest to making up part of the main crew, Stuart debuts in season two but fits right into the vibe of the show. As the proprietor of the comic book store in which the guys spend much of their time, he’s an integral part of their ecosystem.
Stuart often serves as an even more exaggerated version of the nerdy attributes of the main cast - he’s a pop culture obsessive with social issues, but he lacks the incredible intellect or self sufficiency of the scientists.
His gradual decline is one of The Big Bang Theory’s great running jokes. When we meet him in season two he seems perfectly able to look after himself and running a fairly successful business; later, after a fire destroys the store, he moves into the Wolowitz household and latches on, staying there on and off for much of the rest of the show.
