2. Sheldon Spanks Amy
The season six episode "The Fish Guts Displacement" features one of the show's all-time funniest moments, when Sheldon decides to punish Amy for faking illness by spanking her. But of course, Amy only ends up enjoying it.
Originally, however, the spanking was supposed to take place off-screen, and the extended beat where Amy enjoys it and encourages Sheldon to spank her harder wasn't at all in the script.
In fact, despite the apparent simplicity of the scene, it was heavily workshopped between the cast and crew during filming, with a series of originally planned one-liners being progressively cut down as they landed on the comedic genius that was the spanking gag.
Jim Parsons added that striking comedic gold made the scene difficult to shoot:
"It was one of the hardest things we ever had to do because I found it tremendously amusing."
