For so long, The Big Bang Theory was all about the five characters at the centre of the show. With such strong personalities, it was at times hard to look past this core crew to see the supporting players helping to steer the ship.
That all changed, of course, when Bernadette and Amy were introduced as Season 3 rolled into Season 4 – and after that, Emily Sweeney was the next new face who managed to hold her own (and then some) against the show’s heavy hitters.
Played by Laura Spencer, it would take until the seventh season that Emily made her Big Bang bow. Initially introduced as a love interest of Raj’s, Emily and her penchant for all things horror movies became a massively memorable semi-recurring presence through several seasons of The Big Bang Theory.
