When The Big Bang Theory first aired in 2007, it was impossible to predict just how popular it would become. A sitcom about a bunch of scientists and a hot blonde neighbour didn't really sparkle. However, after just a couple of episodes it was clear to see just how successful it would become.

The chemistry between all the characters was on-point. The back and forth between Penny and Sheldon, Howard and Raj's weird but entertaining friendship and Leonard and Sheldon's unique living situation made for some entertaining moments over the years. To this day, we still aren't sure how Leonard managed to put up with Sheldon for as long as he did.

After 12 incredible seasons, The Big Bang Theory came to an in May 2019. With Sheldon and Amy awarded The Nobel Prize in Physics, it was the perfect ending to this scientific comedy.
