The Big Bang Theory first aired a little over 14 years ago. Since then, a whole new sitcom universe has been built. Geek became the new chic. Nerds in glasses were no longer back of the dating queue.
Similar to Friends, the show mainly focused on the comical side of life - the banter between friends and the daily struggles of deciding which takeout place to order from. Also similar to Friends, the show would delve into the more serious issues that life sometimes throws our way. Both were equally approached with perfection.
After 279 episodes, it's probably fair to say that there was a lot of information and events to take in over the years. From new faces to new video games, there was so much to retain that it would take a genius like Sheldon to remember every minor detail from the show.
