The Boys: 10 WTF Moments

The relationship between Madelyn Stillwell and Homelander is far more complicated than a simple employer-employee partnership.

With Homelander using his powers to watch Madelyn pump breast milk, her strange maternal control over him, and their sexual relationship all slowly being revealed throughout the season, the climax of their bizarre bond comes in the final moments of episode eight.

Butcher, using Madelyn as a hostage in a feeble attempt to hurt Homelander, isn't aware that their relationship has deteriorated. Homelander has discovered just how many lies Stillwell has been telling him, and has come to the end of his patience for her.

Flipping Butcher's plan to blow Stillwell to pieces on its head, Homelander uses his fatal laser beams to melt Stillwell's eyes away, penetrating her skull in a very intimate act of murder.

While this moment is undeniably shocking and grotesque, it is Homelander's willingness to lose someone who seemed so important to him that really makes this a WTF moment.
