The Boys: Every Episode Ranked Worst To Best

The Boys, despite its action and thriller-like pace, is at its heart a meticulous character study, digging into the often twisted psyches of its main characters with startling results. In the first few episodes, it is A-Train who takes centre stage, first by accidentally killing Hughie's girlfriend and then by desperately attempting to cling to his title as the world's fastest man.

In Get Some, it's finally time for A-Train to go up against fellow speedster Shockwave, in a showdown dubbed the Race of Century. In the background of this development, The Boys are all geared up and eager to get their hands on some of A-Train's Compound V, using the race as the cover for the perfect heist.

Between Jessie Usher's scene-stealing performance and Butcher and Homelander's sinister stare-down, Get Some is an episode of tension, but little action. It seems, at this early point in the show, things are still being mapped out and aren't yet ready to hit us with a big twist. The characters are still being developed, and the stage still being set for what is to come, and for that reason it's not quite as strong as the episodes surrounding it.
