The Boys Season 2: 10 Shocking Comic Moments That Must Happen
8. Terror's Death
Although it's naturally absolutely savage to say that a dog has to die in any television series - as, in an ideal world, Terror would outlive every other character in The Boys, and spend the rest of his days lounging about eating treats - it's also sadly crucial that the dog needs to die tragically.
Unfortunately for anyone who tears up at dogs dying on television, Terror's death is fairly important to the story - with his death galvanising Billy to carry out yet more violence out of grief.
While the show has minimally included Terror - with us only seeing him in a flashback to Billy's life before his wife was taken from him - the fact that Terror still exists means that his death, and its effect on The Butcher, can still be shown in full force.
Perhaps more importantly, it's also a pretty good way of setting the tone for explaining why Billy is willing to kill basically everyone. A dead or stolen wife is one thing, but that and a dead dog? Full justification for endless slaughter.
