The Boys Season 2: 10 Shocking Comic Moments That Must Happen

4. Black Noir Reveal

Homelander The Boys
Dynamite Entertainment

Of all the moments in the entire assorted chaos of the entire series, the peak twist will now and forever the reveal that Black Noir - the mysterious masked member of the Seven - is, in fact, actually a clone of their leader, the Homelander, who had been tasked with killing the superhero if he got too out of hand.

While you wouldn't think that Black Noir could get any more unnerving, he certainly manages it - with all the disjointed speech and murderous intent of a serial killer in their absolute prime. Even worse, it is revealed at the same time that all the depraved deeds that Homelander was photographed doing are instead pictures of Noir, which means Homelander's descent into basically madness is entirely due to him not remembering doing deeds that he never did in the first place.

All this in mind, this is the defining plot twist of the whole comic, so it well and truly deserves to feature in the television adaptation too - if only to make the show even wilder.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
