The Boys Season 3: 10 Burning Questions We Already Have
3. What Will Happen To Ryan?
The reason that Vought were exposed by Starlight and Hughie in season two was the lies revolving around Compound V. While the company claimed that their heroes were born super, they actually injected children with the substance at an early age and manufactured their supes.
There is just one known exception, one character that gained powers without the need for Compound V. Homelander's son, Ryan. The young boy has shown that his powers certainly have the potential to match those of his father, who spent so much time in the season trying to bring them out.
With Becca now dead, and Ryan in the care of Grace Mallory, are we really supposed to believe that Homelander will just leave his son to live his life from now on? The first ever human born supe was the motivation for many of Homelander's actions in season two, and it's hard to believe he will just let that lie.
Even if he does, as Billy says to Grace, Vought will certainly want to get their hands on him. Clearly the child will have a role to play in the future of The Boys, but what will it be? Will Vought turn him into a fully fledged supe? Will Grace and Billy eventually bring him in as one of the Boys? Or could it be something completely different?
