The Boys Season 3: 10 Reasons To Be Excited
5. The Dynamics Of The Seven
The anti-Justice League of The Boys universe have been the forefront of corrupted, unlikable takes on superheroes. Their cynical and selfish deeds have brought viewers horror and delight for two seasons, but we've also found ourselves feeling sympathetic at times and watched some very well written growth in the major characters.
The Seven haven't been a full septet since the first episode, and there's no reason to suspect that will change any time soon when the third season premieres.
There's enough pedigree tension and personalities in the five remaining characters as it is; Starlight has become jaded, A-Train's return might shoulder some resentment towards Homelander - even Black Noir was in a coma for the final episode, and is going to be in (what amounts to him at least) a shock when he finds Starlight and Queen Maeve are back in the squad.
With Homelander's fragile ego exposed as his weakness, his reigning control over the rest of the team is now slipping and he can sense it (more on that later). Because we've never gotten the impression that The Seven even like each other before, it'll be interesting to see them attempt to outdo one another once again, and maybe settle a few scores.
