The Flash: 10 Things Season 2 Has Got Horribly Wrong (So Far)
The show has repeated itself in all the wrong ways.
Whereas the first season of The Flash was a welcome surprise, things were different this year, as the show came loaded with much heavier expectations. Unlike so many shows that lose their magic after one season, The Flash has found its footing and in some ways even improved. But no show is perfect, and theres still plenty of things that the show could be handling better. Even without the loaded expectations, ironically it may be the first seasons success that has hindered this season the most. Many familiar plotlines and characters have been popping up and it seems that the sentiment amongst those in charge is if it aint broke, dont fix it. Different characters have been introduced but it feels like theyre simply following in the footsteps of identical character arcs from last year. Just as the show has been burdened by its past, its similarly being weighed down by the future. With the spinoff Legends Of Tomorrow on the horizon, The Flash has been largely tasked with setting up characters and stories for another series. The result of which has been a lack of focus on the core players of The Flash, and a series of adventures that dont quite feel like they belong. In some ways, theres concern that the series has taken a step backwards. While thats not entirely true, there are some glaring problems that still need to be addressed if this season of The Flash wants to truly improve upon its initial run.
