The Flash Season 2: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After 'The Runaway Dinosaur'

9. Is Wally A Metahuman?

Both Wally and Jesse are caught in the particle accelerator explosion, and last week ended with a question mark over their fates. This week does address the issue, but still doesn't give us a definitive answer.

Wally is the one who recovers almost immediately, and shows no signs of any lingering impact from the blast, resulting in a great chat with Joe about potentially developing powers (that he mistakes for a puberty talk).

This served as a subversion of expectations, given it seemed nailed-on this would be how Wally becomes, like his comic book counterpart, a speedster. Does this episode mean that Wally isn't a metahuman? It's pointing that way, but at the same time they're surely going to have to give him powers at some stage. Factor in the fact that Cisco's powers took a long time to manifest themselves, and the question remains over whether or not Wally has got powers.
