The Flash Season 2: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After 'The Runaway Dinosaur'

5. Will We Explore More Of The Speed Force?

While the Speed Force is a major part of the the Flash mythos in the comics, it's never really been that detailed in the show. It's used as more of a plot device, a means to an end, explaining how Barry got his powers in a way that sounds satisfyingly comic booky (and Star Wars-y) without pressing further.

This week changed that, as we found Barry trapped in the Speed Force itself, and discovered that it has a consciousness and can manifest itself into any person (and presumably animals, objects, whatever else) it wants.

Even here it's a way for wringing some emotional moments out of Barry, but there's clearly a lot more to the Speed Force than we really know, in terms of what it is, how it works, and just how speedsters can channel and manipulate it - is that something the show will explore going forward, or is this it for the Force?
