One of the most overt movie references from the season, Cisco gives an entire speech about his evil doppelgänger and not wanting to end up like him, using Star Wars and the pull of the Dark Side as a reference point for it.

It's the sort of moment that could feel awfully contrived, but Carlos Valdes is definitely capable of pulling it off as he discusses Darth Vader.

However, it's interesting that it comes in this episode, which features a nod to that other Star-based sci-fi franchise. Again, it's Cisco, and this time he puts his hand out with his fingers forming a Vulcan salute.
