5. Eddie Thawne
Eddie Thawne died a hero, killing himself to prevent Eobard Thawne being born and creating all sorts of timey-wimey paradoxical craziness that makes your head hurt if you think about it for too long. One way of making our headaches even worse would be to bring him back as Zoom. His body was swept up into the singularity, and who knows what could happen to it when such a powerful connection to the Speed Force comes into play. It could be that there was some way of him coming back to life in an altered state, with a burning desire for revenge on Barry for what happened to him rather than the belief that he willingly died a hero. Rick Cosnett has signed up for a recurring role on Quantico, meaning he can't appear in too many episodes of The Flash, but that would fit in with the mystery of the character. They wouldn't actually need him for much, if saving the reveal for later on in the season, he'd just need to have a guest role. Eddie was strongly rumoured to be the character Cobalt Blue last year, which never materialised, and this would be a way of doing something similar with the character.

NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
