The Flash Season 2: 7 Ups And 4 Downs Of 'Invincible'

2. Tina McGee

The Flash Invincible
The CW

In terms of horrendous performances, Amanda Pays as Dr. Tina McGee has been absolutely horrendous each and every time she’s appeared in The Flash since (re)debuting last season.

As someone who watched the old CBS Flash show in 1990, I don’t remember Pays ever being this bad. Whenever she turns up in this latest incarnation of The Flash, though, she is just plain awful. As wooden as an erect Pinocchio, Pays just seems so out of sync with the flowing, charismatic nature of the show.

Whilst longtime fans of the Scarlet Speedster will have gotten a kick out of seeing Pays back on screen with former Flash and love interest John Wesley Shipp, that still sadly cannot paper over the cracks when it comes to Pays’ delivery. It really is a case of every line of dialogue that comes out of her mouth seems as sincere and natural as a glamour model’s chest.

Unfortunately, it was Henry Allen who bit the bullet the by the time Invincible came to a close, but I’m sure many of us were hoping that somehow Zoom would off Dr. McGee purely so it saves us from any future appearances by the character.
