1. All The Questions About Time-Travel And Paradoxes
When Eddie Thawne killed himself, that should have prevented Eobard Thawne from ever existing. Apparently not. He's back thanks to a time remnant, something Harry Wells half-explains, but really it's just thanks to The Flash's approach to time-travel, which essentially boils down to 'f**k it, we'll make it up as we go along and alter the rules as necessary for each episode'. So Eddie Thawne is still dead, but Eobard's back. Except he doesn't know who the Flash is, nor has he taken on the guise of Harrison Wells yet. But he will... in the past, even though he's here in the present. And he hasn't killed Barry's mother yet, though that's something that's going to happen because it's a fixed point in time, even though they spent part of last season focusing on the possibility of actually saving Barry's mother and it being a very poignant moment when he didn't. There's probably a few more questions and paradoxes that need addressing, but my head's hurting a little bit just thinking about it. It's fun that they're bold and happy to play around with this fantastical elements, but they really need to start establishing some consistency that can be followed.
