The Flash Season 2 Finale: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After 'The Race Of His Life'

3. What Will Happen To The Timeline?

The Flash Barry Zoom
The CW

Although Zoom's been defeated, the man in the iron mask released, and the multiverse saved, Barry is in a worse place than he's ever been, as he struggles to cope with the death of his dead (and not just his death, but watching it happen right in front of him, without being able to stop it).

It means you can understand where Barry is mentally, but what he does next is still a huge shock, as he goes back in time again but, unlike the Season 1 finale, actually goes through with saving his mother.

And that should change everything.

Henry doesn't go to jail, Barry doesn't grow up with Joe and Iris, the particle accelerator explosion might never happen, basically it could rewrite the entire history of the show, but it remains to be seen how much they'll go through with that.
