The Flash Season 3 Review: 7 Ups And 5 Downs From 'Flashpoint'
2. Taking Iris To Reverse-Flash
Okay, so you’ve got your totally, totally evil nemesis locked away in a cage. This is the man who travelled back in time to brutally murder your mother, which shows just how monstrous he can be. With that said, isn’t it the perfect thing to do to take your ‘one true’ to meet him? After all, it’s not like he has a deep-rooted grudge against you and will take any step he can to make your life a living hell…
Once Barry realises that he has no other option than to let Eobard Thawne go free so that he can go back in time and kill Nora Allen, you’d think that the Scarlet Speedster would be more cautious than ever at the thought of letting this beast out of his cage. Instead, he casually brings Iris along for the release of Thawne.
You could maybe argue that this was all fine and dandy… well, if there was an actual need for somebody else to be there. But no, there was no need whatsoever for Iris to be at the scene here, and all it did was put her in the Reverse-Flash’s line of fire should he so choose to take one more dig at Barry.
