The Flash Season 6 Review: 8 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Crisis On Infinite Earths, Part 3'
Ups...
8. The Birds Of Prey Opening
Crisis On Infinite Earths has, so far, been the gift that just keeps on giving for DC fans. While the first installment's prologue was packed full of cameo appearances from some of our live-action favourites and their respective universes, the second one focused heavily on Kevin Conroy's Bruce Wayne, Smallville's Clark Kent and Kingdom Come/Superman Returns' Man of Steel.
Other than Earth-90's Flash, Part Three reeled it back in somewhat and only employed occasional cameo appearances - but those cameos were well and truly amazing.
The first of them came in the episode's introduction, which saw Ashley Scott's Helena Kyle (a.k.a. Huntress) from the short-lived Birds of Prey series attempt to outrun the wave of antimatter on Earth-203 (a nod to the show's conclusion in 2003) as she communicated with the voice of Dina Meyer's Oracle/Barbara Gordon before being wiped out.
A great opening that once again paid tribute to one of DC's biggest cult shows (that paved the way for the Arrowverse) and did a great job reinforcing the danger of the Crisis in the first couple of moments. That said, Helena deserved better, damn it!
But that wasn't the only great cameo...
