The Flash Season 2: 11 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Trajectory'
Why is it always the crazy ones that name themselves?
Good news: The Flash is back!
Even better news: it's still going strong, quickly regaining momentum after a month on the sidelines.
Yes, despite a four-week break The Flash picks up where it left off, or at least nearby. The previous three episodes served as a mini-arc focused on Earth-2 and Zoom, and this isn't as directly connected to those, but it does all loop back round come the end of the episode as Team Flash catches-up with the audience and learns the truth about Jay Garrick.
Before then, though, we had another speedster to contend with, the Jekyll and Hyde figure of Dr Eliza Harmon and Trajectory. Suped-up on Velocity-9, she makes Barry only the third fastest person alive, and while she may not be the most threatening speedster we've seen on the show she nonetheless makes for a fun villain-of-the-week (and certainly a serious upgrade from the likes of Tar-Pit).
Elsewhere there was some Wells family drama, with Jesse striking out on her own; an awkward not-a-date between Iris and her new boss, who is still doing his J. Jonah Jameson-lite impression; and, Wally West, who, erm, was there for a minute or so.
It's certainly good to have The Flash back on our screens, and as we edge closer to the Season 2 endgame, there are a lot of mysteries and questions that we need answers to.
11. Is Wally A Metahuman?
Jesse's forced by Harry to wear the metahuman detection watch when she goes out, which she's not all-too-happy about given it isn't exactly the latest must have fashion accessory, and it later causes embarrassment by going off next to Barry.
The timing of it going off is interesting though, as it does so again when Wally appears. Now, yes, there's a good chance that this is because she's still next to Barry and it's just to cause her further embarrassment in front of Wally, but given that Wally West does become a speedster at some point is it at all possible he's a metahuman?
If so, then there's a big question over why his powers haven't manifested yet, but even if not this seems to be a sly wink to the future of Wally.
