The Mandalorian 2.8 Review - 6 Ups And 3 Downs From Chapter 16

4. The Darktroopers Are TERRIFYING

Mandalorian Chapter 16 Darktroopers
Lucasfilm

The Darktroopers are every bit as terrifying as you remember them from the old Jedi Knight games, and maybe even a little bit more.

They have to be deep cooled so as to not waste power, which leads to a great race against time where we see Din try and get to the control panel to lock them in as they're being powered up.

One trooper manages to get out though and proceeds to give Din the thrashing of a lifetime. (Seriously, is Din okay? That has to have left a big concussion.) Thankfully he uses the Beskar spear and manages to take it down before blasting the rest out of the airlock. But even so, the Dark troopers are right on up there with the most fearsome weapons we've seen in the Empire's arsenal.

Who knew mixing Terminator with Star Wars would be such a good combo?
