Speaking of Elias, there's obviously a lot more to the character than meets the eye (hence why an actor as talented and on-the-rise as Riz Ahmed is playing him).

While he initially appears to be on the side of The OA, his appearance at the end of the season leaves huge questions over his true motives.

There's no reason for him to be there, and especially not skulking around in the shadows. The most prevalent theory is that he is the one who planted the books, which is very believable but begs the question of why?

Is there a bigger story at play here concerning the FBI and these NDEs? And of course, if he *wasn't* the one who planted the books, then why the hell was he there at all?
