The Office: 10 Weirdest Things Found In Dunder Mifflin

3. The Belsnickel

The Office Creed

It seems appropriate that Dwight saved his weirdest Christmas tradition for last. The Office's final season Christmas special introduced the infamously bizarre Belsnickel to the occupants of Dunder Mifflin.

This crotchety, fur-clad gift-bringer is essentially Santa, except as Jim puts it, "dirty and worse". Come to think of it, "gift-bringer" may actually be a slightly generous description for someone who dishes out rubber canning jar gaskets and mousetraps as presents. Why would one spread joy for the holidays when they could be spreading fear and whipping "impish" people with a switch after all?

It comes as little surprise that Dunder Mifflin's longtime Assistant Regional Manager and resident lunatic feels that he was born to be Belsnickel. It's hard to pick what is the strangest thing about his Amish take on Father Christmas. Dwight's attire, his high-pitched German accent, the pig rib; let us not even begin to get started on his unbelievably offensive companion, Black Peter.

Dwight has done a lot of weird sh*t over the years at Christmas time but this Bavarian take on Saint Nicholas decidedly takes the cake.
