The forenames and surnames of the many eccentric characters from The Office have become etched into the psyche of modern day popular culture. If you show the average person on the street a photo of Steve Carell or Rainn Wilson from The Office, they’d instantly respond with “Oh that’s Michael Scott” and “I know him, that’s Dwight Schrute”.

In some cases Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute are more famous names than the actors who portrayed them and that carries on with the majority of the rest of the cast. It’s hard not to think of Jim Halpert first when you see a photo of the actor who portrays him rather than saying John Krasinski and in some cases it's easy because Creed Bratton is both the character and actor's name!
