Not many mockumentaries have had us in fits of hysterics quite like The Office. Whether a fan of the UK or US iteration, every TV fanatic can agree both versions have provided us with some hilarious and unique characters, one of which, being the sci-fi enthusiast and (disturbingly) prominent weapons collector, Dwight Schrute. Lacking general knowledge and often common sense, the former sheriff deputy is certainly an unusual individual, which is fortunate for us viewers because it made him as entertaining as any character in recent memory.
Arguably the most popular name on the show, which was based on Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant's creation, Dwight's role as a suck-up salesman landed him on TV Guide's list of the top 100 characters in television history. Taking himself incredibly seriously despite his comical life, Dwight combines martial arts, shooting, "Battlestar Galactica" and some serious nerdy habits, to form the most eccentric but competent salesman in history.
