What would The Office be without the high-pitch voiced of Dunder Mifflin's vapid, celebrity-obsessed Kelly Kapoor?

Despite her ditziness - or perhaps because of it - Kelly ended up involved in some of the show's most memorable and hilarious moments, specifically her ever on-again, off-again romance with Ryan Howard (B.J. Novak).

Though a fundamentally ridiculous character, there is nevertheless an authenticity to her portrayal of an immature office worker yet to be slapped in the face with a hard dose of reality.

Thanks to a fantastically on-point performance from Mindy Kaling - who also wrote 22 episodes of the show and even directed two - Kelly manages to be more than an outrageous cartoon, with Kaling never losing sight of Kelly's desperate humanity.
