21. Karen's Weird Pro-Gun Rhetoric

One of the strangest things that recurs throughout the series is Frank's pal Karen Page being used as a mouth-piece for pro-gun views.

While one can argue that the show is simply trying to make the "both sides" argument, Karen's ringing endorsement of firearms feels more than a little off, especially as in the show's ninth episode, the anti-gun senator she's debating with on the radio is made to look like a total goofball.

Though you can certainly argue that a show about a white vigilante slaughtering dozens of people is a pretty risky proposition in this political climate, cranking up the pro-gun rhetoric without any sense of irony felt especially weird and gross, and made Karen shockingly difficult to like.
