The Simpsons: 10 Best Characters Only In One Episode

2. Frank Grimes

Frank Grimes, or €˜Grimey€™ as he liked to be called, may have been survived by Frank Grimes Jr., whose appearance in a Season 14 episode was a clear sign of the show'€™s inevitable decline, but he couldn'€™t survive a week working alongside Homer J. Simpson.

Exploring the idea of what would happen if a normal person was thrust into Homer€™'s universe, Homer€™'s enemy remains one of The Simpsons€™ darkest and most controversial episodes.

Frank Grimes is introduced as a man who €œhad to struggle for everything he ever got,€ recovering from a series of setbacks to earn a degree in nuclear physics and capture the cold heart of Mr Burns, who makes him his Executive Vice President before replacing him with a heroic dog and dumping Grimes in Sector 7-G. There, he meets Homer and quickly finds himself becoming annoyed by his nap-loving, lunch-stealing, pencil-chewing associate, soon declaring them enemies. Homer tries his best to turn things around by inviting Grimes to his house for dinner, but his new enemy merely resents the fact that Homer lives in a €œpalace€ rather than in a single room above a bowling alley and beneath another bowling alley.

It all proves too much for Grimes, who ends up electrocuting himself in a fit of hysteria and even has his funeral ruined by Homer. Grimes simply couldn€™t live in a world with Homer Simpson in it €“ pretty much the opposite of how the rest of us feel.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
