The Simpsons: 10 Most HATED Episodes
2. Lisa Goes Gaga
Arguably the most widely reviled episode in Simpsons history - its pathetic 3.9 user rating on IMDb is the lowest among all episodes - "Lisa Goes Gaga" takes modern Simpsons' obsession with guest stars to the extreme.
With almost the entire runtime focused on Lady Gaga and her various extravagances as she teaches the woefully unpopular Lisa how to embrace her own inner beauty (or something), fans largely responded with anger. Rest assured that they were on the internet within minutes registering their disgust throughout the world.
From Gaga voicing herself throughout to the embarrassing musical numbers mixed with the kind of mean-spirited gags typical of modern Simpsons, the episode has a lot going against it. It's not surprising to find that Springfield is suddenly exclusively comprised of Gaga superfans, but judging by the reaction to this episode, the sentiment wasn't shared by the Simpsons fanbase.
The overwhelming hate for Gaga's appearance largely overshadows what's not a completely worthless episode; Principal Skinner's "I know very little about children" is the line of the show, and little bits like Homer swiping portions from Gaga's meat suit at least salvage some scraps from the gimmick.
