Like all the best Simpsons episodes, this one starts with a simple premise and expands into a completely unexpected original storyline. After finding a jumble of hundreds of spare keys, each Simpson family member sets off and has their own individual adventure with one of the keys; including Homer finally riding the Duff Blimp and Bart's attempts to cause mischief constantly backfiring.

This soon dovetails into a focus on Lisa's discovery of a secret room in her school. Like a classic Hollywood mystery, the mysterious room full of manikins completely disappears and the truth behind the whole thing turns out to be pretty dark. It also gives us an insight into Otto's backstory; a character who is far too often underutilised on this show.
