Everyone loves Chief Wiggum. Right? Right? Or is more that you actually just kind of like Chief Wiggum? Like, you think he's mildly amusing because - ha! - he's supposed to be a police chief and yet he can't do his job properly! On those terms, you think he's a good character and all, but he's nowhere close to your favourite. In fact, you rank him kind of low. C'mon: admit it. You know you want to. Chief Wiggum is one of those Simpsons characters who can very, very quickly overstay his welcome. If he has a couple of funny lines to utter, that's fine, but stick around with this guy for too long and he begins to jar. Weird, then, that so many fans of The Simpsons hold this character in such high regard. His son Ralph, on the other hand - now there's a character.
