The writers of The Simpsons must think that Professor Frink is a great character, because they never seem to pass up an opportunity to include this guy in an episode. In the beginning, you could excuse - or even enjoy - a guy like Professor Frink, even if is a tad weird to have an entire character based on a Jerry Lewis impression. That said, Frink's antics were occasionally enough to make you grin. And then it got tired real fast. How many times can a man invent something malfunctioning and utter the word "Glavin!" before you begin to lose sight of why that was actually funny in the first place? The answer: not many. Despite that, Professor Frink - wacky antics and all - remains a fan favourite and is often regarded as one of the best secondary Simpsons characters. You have to wonder why.
