12. The World May End In 2012, But This Show Won't (Season 21, Episode 10 - Once Upon A Time In Springfield)
Though it might seem like jumping the gun a tad considering that this episode aired on January 10, 2010, this gag is more a reference to the ridiculous staying power of The Simpsons, and something of an acknowledgement from the show's writers that regardless of its quality, it's probably going to be on the air longer than most of its creators (not to mention much of it audience) will remain alive. If any show can survive the end of the world, it's surely this one.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
