And now things shift to the realm of WTF, with a reference to one of Bart Simpson's animated brethren, and frankly one of the most peculiarly adult chalkboard gags in the history of the series. To be honest it's tough to even figure out what the joke is supposed to be here: there's the long-running fan theory that SpongeBob is actually a tampon, but that doesn't have much to do with contraception. Plus, why is 10-year-old Bart Simpson talking about contraception? It's a totally crazy gag, and no doubt gave many parents headaches as they had to explain to their kids what it meant.
